Before refilling all Epson chipped cartridges: - Hold the Re-setter so that the two (green & red) lights are facing upwards.
- Turn the cartridge upside down so that the outlet holes are also facing upwards.
- Locate the cartridge into the appropriate slots of the Re-setter. This should locate the prongs from the Re-setter against the chip. (You will need to use the L shape lug, which detaches from the Re-setter for the C70, C80, C82 & 5200).
- Push the cartridge and the Re-setter together.
- Both lights will flash once simultaneously, and then the green light will flash five times to show that chip is reprogrammed.
- If the red light flashes it may mean either, the prongs are not in line with the chip, or the cartridge you are reprogramming is not an original Epson or a Cartridge Save Compatible.
- You may now proceed with refilling your cartridge as per instructions in your refill kit.
