How to Use the Re-setter

Before refilling all Epson chipped cartridges:

  1. Hold the Re-setter so that the two (green & red) lights are facing upwards.
  2. Turn the cartridge upside down so that the outlet holes are also facing upwards.
  3. Locate the cartridge into the appropriate slots of the Re-setter. This should locate the prongs from the Re-setter against the chip. (You will need to use the L shape lug, which detaches from the Re-setter for the C70, C80, C82 & 5200).
  4. Push the cartridge and the Re-setter together.
  5. Both lights will flash once simultaneously, and then the green light will flash five times to show that chip is reprogrammed.
  6. If the red light flashes it may mean either, the prongs are not in line with the chip, or the cartridge you are reprogramming is not an original Epson or a Cartridge Save Compatible.
  7. You may now proceed with refilling your cartridge as per instructions in your refill kit.
